Given his side’s extremely disappointing season, Ruben Amorim is planning a major overhaul of his squad this summer, with the manager searching for a deep-lying midfielder, centre-back, wing-back and striker.

Liam Delap has been identified as a major target to strengthen the attack, while Barcelona’s Alejandro Balde could be brought in to bolster Amorim’s options at wing-back, despite the arrival of Patrick Dorgu in January.

There are also indications Amorim could look at bringing in a versatile full-back in the summer, with reports from Spain revealing the United boss is keen on signing Al-Hilal’s Joao Cancelo, who is viewed as the ideal option to strengthen the right-back area.

The former Man City man has impressed since moving to the Saudi Pro League, meaning a move back to a top European club could now be on the cards, with the likes of AC Milan and Aston Villa also being named as potential suitors.

That said, the £247k-per-week full-back is contracted until the summer of 2027, so Al-Hilal will be in a strong negotiating position.

Cancelo was "sensational" for United's rivals

Should the 30-year-old be willing to move to the rivals of his former club, he could be an excellent addition to Amorim’s squad, considering the level of his performances during his previous stint in the Premier League.

Ex-teammate Phil Foden lauded the Portuguese defender during his time at the Etihad Stadium, saying: “Joao is one of the best if not the best attacking full backs in world football right now, he is always adding goals and assists.

“If one of the attackers is having an off day we need someone coming up with the goals and assists and he is always there in the big moments in the big games. We know he has got that quality in front of goal and he is sensational.”

ويستعد مانشستر سيتي للمشاركة في بطولة كأس العالم للأندية، التي ستنطلق في أمريكا الأسبوع المقبل.

وحسبما جاء في بيان مانشستر سيتي، فقد تم التعاقد مع بيب ليندرز ليصبح مساعدًا لـ بيب جوارديولا في ملعب “الاتحاد”، إلى جانب التعاقد مع جيمس فرينش كمدرب للركلات الثابتة.

بدأ ليندرز مسيرته المهنية عام 2022، حيث عمل في البداية ضمن فريق الشباب في آيندهوفن ثم بورتو، قبل أن ينضم إلى ليفربول في 2014.

“He is important. The idea is to have substitutes performing well. One of them is Rogers. In case he is not available, we can use other players.”

Nas arquibancadas, uma faixa com “Respeito, Igualdade e Diversidade” foi colocada em São Januário enquanto, na entrada em campo, além do show pirotécnico com as cores do arco-íris, bandeiras do movimento estavam presentes no gramado.

– A missão do Vasco é liderar toda campanha que batalhe por uma sociedade melhor, é um conceito que o clube carrega desde a sua fundação. Na temporada passada, fomos o primeiro clube a atuar em uma partida oficial com um uniforme personalizado. Em 2022, decidimos ir além, contando com o apoio das torcidas organizadas, outro feito histórico, fizemos uma linda festa em nosso estádio. Debutant Zakir Hasan, who led Bangladesh’s defiance on the day, had fallen for a fighting 100 prior to that, when he inside-edged on to his pad – the ball popped up to Virat Kohli at slip, with R Ashwin finally adding to his wickets’ column.Shakib Al Hasan provided entertainment late in the day to end unbeaten on 40, having swung his bat to loft, swipe and slash the spinners, but by stumps Bangladesh still needed 241 while India needed four wickets.The evening session had begun with Bangladesh three down, and Zakir and Mushfiqur at the crease. The left-right combination didn’t mind attacking the spinners, piling up 31 runs – including four fours and a six – off the first seven overs after resumption, with Ashwin, Kuldeep Yadav and Axar in operation.That phase featured a confident straight loft by Zakir to dispatch Kuldeep for six, and a sweep behind the wicket off Axar to get to his century off 219 balls. ومن المقرر أن تُفتتح منافسات بطولة كأس العالم للأندية يوم الأحد المقبل، الموافق 14 يونيو، في لقاء يجمع بين إنتر ميامي ممثل البلد المضيف، والأهلي بطل إفريقيا وممثل مصر.
