يبدو أن نادي تشيلسي الإنجليزي بات قريبًا من حسم صفقة تعاقده مع حارس مرمى فريق رين، إدوارد ميندي، في موسم الانتقالات الصيفي الحالي.

وأبدى تشيلسي رغبته في ضم حارس جديد، بعد تعرض كيبا أريزابالاجا للكثير من الانتقادات طوال الموسم الماضي.

وارتبط تشيلسي بأكثر من حارس، في الفترة الأخيرة، ومن ضمنهم إدوارد ميندي.

وحسب صحيفة “ليكيب” الفرنسية، فإن إدوارد ميندي ودع زملائه في رين مساء أمس الجمعة تمهيدًا لانتقاله إلى صفوف تشيلسي.

وأوضحت أن الحارس السنغالي توصل إلى اتفاق مع مسؤولي تشيلسي حول الرسوم الشخصية لصفقة انتقاله المرتقب إلى ستامفورد بريدج.

وأشارت إلى إنه في الوقت ذاته لا يوجد أي اتفاق نهائي حتى الآن بين إدارة تشيلسي ورين بشأن القيمة المالية لتلك الصفقة.

أعرب لاعب الأهلي محمود عبد المنعم “كهربا”، عن سعادته بحسم بطولة الدوري هذا الموسم، مشيرًا إلى أن جميع اللاعبين يطمحون في الفوز بـ أبطال افريقيا.

وكان الأهلي قد نجح في حسم بطولة الدوري المصري هذا الموسم قبل خوضه مباراة الجولة 28 من عمر المسابقة.

وأضاف: “أول دوري لي في تاريخي مع الأهلي، هذا أمر كبير جدًا وسعيد به”.

وأتم: “بطولة إفريقيا بالنسبة لنا حلم، وكلنا نحلم بالتتويج بها، وإن شاء الله نحقق هذه البطولة للجماهير”.

يُذكر أن الأهلي يستعد لمواجهة الوداد البيضاوي المغربي في مباراة الدور نصف النهائي ببطولة دوري أبطال افريقيا بعد ثلاثة أسابيع.

Liverpool youngster Harry Wilson has been producing eye-catching display after eye-catching display with loan club Derby County this season, and while he probably wasn’t at his best during the 2-1 FA Cup defeat against Brighton and Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium on Saturday, he still showed exactly what he is capable of.

The 21-year-old was sent out on a season-long deal to the Championship club during the summer transfer window, and there is no doubt that he has shown his potential, hit the ground running and made a massive impact given he has scored 12 goals and provided a further four assists in 31 appearances in total.

The Wales international has played on either wing and through the middle this term, but he started on the left-hand side of a midfield trio against Chris Hughton’s men at the weekend.

Wilson had the licence to roam forward when possible, and he showed exactly what he is capable of in the final third with his latest display.

He had more shots (three) than any of his teammates even if none of them were on target, while he was fouled by the opposition on four occasions to show how effective he can be at winning free-kicks for his team.

Perhaps most impressive though was the fact that he made two key passes and nine crosses during the clash against the Premier League outfit, despite not lining up as an out-and-out wide man against the Seagulls.

The Welshman is clearly not the finished article given only one of those nine attempts found a teammate, but with better players around him that success rate would surely only rise.

The signs surely are that Wilson will return to Anfield at the end of the season and get a chance to impress during pre-season and then during the 2019/20 campaign, and the likes of Roberto Firmino and Mo Salah will be loving it if the 21-year-old is supplying them from August onwards.

وذكرت صحيفة “ليكيب” الفرنسية، أن بطل الدوري الفرنسي يضع نصب أعينه التعاقد مع اللاعب تيموي باكايوكو من صفوف تشيلسي هذا الصيف.

وارتبط الفرنسي بخطوة الرحيل عن النادي اللندني، حيث أنه لا يعد جزءً من الخطط المستقبلية للمدرب فرانك لامبارد.

وأفادت الصحيفة أن النادي الباريسي يريد ضم باكايوكو على سبيل الإعارة لمدة موسم، مع إدراج بند الشراء الدائم.

وأشارت إلى أن هناك محادثات جارية بين الناديين في الوقت الحالي بشأن تلك الصفقة.

وأوضحت أن تشيلسي يريد 5 ملايين يورو مقابل إعارة باكايوكو، إلى جانب 40 مليون يورو للشراء الدائم.

ويأمل باريس سان جيرمان في إقناع تشيلسي بتخفيض الرسوم المالية المذكورة سلفًا، حيث أن مسؤولي النادي لا يتقبلونها.

ومن المفترض أن ينتهي عقد باكايوكو مع تشيلسي في عام 2022.

يُذكر أن باكايوكو قضى الموسم الماضي على سبيل الإعارة مع فريق موناكو الفرنسي.

Everton play their first game in over two weeks on Tuesday when they travel to Cardiff, and Marco Silva should attempt to replicate his former club’s performance against the Bluebirds.

When Silva swapped Vicarage Road for Goodison Park, Everton fans were certain he had made the right decision, but the manager has come under intense scrutiny recently.

The Toffees have lost five of their last six games in all competitions, and the only win in that period was a 1-0 victory over last-placed Huddersfield.

A trip to the Cardiff City stadium to take on the Bluebirds represents a chance to get back on track though after Watford pummelled the Welsh outfit 5-1 on Friday night, and Silva should take a page out of Javi Gracia’s book and deploy a 4-2-2-2 formation on Tuesday night.

Watford set up with a pretty traditional back four on Friday night, but Gracia switched things up in midfield, pushing his wide players further forward and more central.

By doing this, the Hornets were able to create situations where the attacking players outnumbered Cardiff’s back three, something Troy Deeney and ex-Toffee Gerard Deulofeu took full advantage of, scoring all five goals between them.

Silva and Everton have the players to replicate this strategy if Cardiff continue with a back three, and the pace, skill and guile of both Ademola Lookman and Bernard make them perfect for those advanced positions in midfield.

At the base of midfield, a combination of any two of Andre Gomes, Idrissa Gueye and Tom Davies should be more than capable of fulfilling the roles that Etienne Capoue and Abdoulaye Doucoure carried out on Friday night.

Boost for Richarlison

The biggest beneficiary of this system could be Richarlison, who has lost his way a little bit during the Toffees’ poor run of form.

The 21 year-old has bagged ten Premier League goals this season, but has cut an increasingly isolated and frustrated figure recently, particularly when deployed up front on his own.

Putting him in the Deulofeu role, with a traditional target man like Cenk Tosun carrying out Deeney’s duties, would allow him much more space to get on the ball and work his magic.

It may hurt Silva’s pride, but the man who replaced him at Vicarage Road dropped a master-class in Wales on Friday night and he would be a fool not to try and emulate it.

Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to react after Andros Townsend won the ‘Goal of the Year’ award at the London Football Awards on Thursday evening.

The England international picked up the accolade as a result of his stunning strike against Manchester City at the Etihad earlier this season, in which he rifled a dropping ball into the top right corner from well outside the box.

His goal also meant more than just pure aesthetics. Townsend’s strike helped the Eagles beat the champions 3-2 on their own turf, becoming the only side to do so in the current campaign – the former Tottenham man has become the first player to win the ‘Goal of the Year’ award at the London Football Awards.

Impressively, the 27-year-old was also nominated for the ‘Player of the Year’ award after an impressive season in which he has already hit seven goals – a personal best – although he lost out to Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min.

Understandably, Palace fans are beaming with pride at Townsend’s achievement, and have taken to Twitter to react…

Tottenham’s full-back options certainly aren’t what they used to be. Gone are the days of the marauding Danny Rose and Kyle Walker flying up and down the flanks to great effect, such as they did in the 2016/17 season when Mauricio Pochettino’s men pushed Chelsea for the title.

What’s changed?

Nowadays, Spurs are perhaps at their weakest in the wide defensive areas. All three of Kieran Trippier, Kyle Walker-Peters and Serge Aurier have failed to make the shirt their own this season when given the opportunity, but it is over on the left where there is a solution right under Pochettino’s nose.

Rose and Ben Davies have failed to perform consistently this season, just like their peers over on the right – it was the England international Rose whose individual error led to Southampton’s equaliser on Saturday, before Ralph Hasenhuttl’s men went on to win.

Every full-back just seems to have a mistake in them, and not one of them seems to be hugely trusted by Pochettino.

What’s the solution?

Jan Vertonghen. The ever-dependable Belgian international has played at left-back on three occasions this season, and has starred everytime.

Most recently, the former Ajax man played in the position against Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of the Champions League last 16 tie, where he was awarded the WhoScored Man of the Match award for his showing.

The 31-year-old grabbed a well-taken goal against the Germans, set up Heung-min Son for the opener with an inch-perfect cross, and also managed to help himself and his colleagues in defence to a clean sheet against one of Europe’s most free-flowing attacks.

He is an expendable figure at centre-back purely because Pochettino also has Toby Alderweireld and Davinson Sanchez to call upon, and whilst the pair are still at the club, Spurs should be using Vertonghen at left-back.

وتابع: “لكن تعيينه كمدرب للنادي الرائد في قارتنا يعزز من علاقتنا الكبيرة بين مصر وجنوب إفريقيا”.

وأضاف: “تدريب موسيماني في النادي الأهلي، يدل على الاعتراف بالموهبة والقدرات الموجودة داخل قارتنا”.

Alfredo Morelos equalised for the Gers after Conor McAleny had given the visitors the lead, but it’s a different incident involving Morelos that has really got fans talking.

The striker is reportedly (09:13) sweating over a possible ban for a collision with the 34 year-old Broadfoot, in which the Gers ace shoved the Kilmarnock defender.

Footage has since revealed the reason why Morelos acted so aggressively though, as Broadfoot appeared to deliberately rake his studs down the Colombian’s Achilles.
